Yumm!!

Found this out of the better homes and garden magazine that my grandmother gives me after she's looked at it:P This to me would make an awesome litha meal:D
This look soooo damn tasty:P


Honey-sweet onion ribs




ingredients
  • 2
    Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1
    to 2 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1
    Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2
    to 4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1- 1/2
    tsp. salt
  • 1/2
    tsp. ground cumin
  • 3- 1/2
    to 4 lb. pork loin back ribs
  • 1
    Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2
    cup chopped onion
  • 2
    cloves garlic, minced
  • 1
    8-oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/3
    cup pineapple rum or desired beer
  • 1/3
    cup light-flavored molasses
  • 2
    Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2
    Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2
    tsp. dry mustard
  • 2
    tsp. chili powder


    directions
    1.For rub, in bowl, stir together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and cumin. Sprinkle over both sides of ribs; rub in with fingers. Cover; chill for 2 to 24 hours.
    2.For charcoal grill, arrange medium-hot coals around a drip pan. Test for medium heat above pan. Place ribs, bone sides down, on lightly oiled grill rack over drip pan. Cover; grill 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours or until ribs are tender. (For gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Adjust for indirect cooking. Place ribs in a roasting pan. Grill as above.)
    3.Meanwhile, for sauce, heat oil in saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir onion and garlic in hot oil 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, rum, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, dry mustard, and chili powder. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 1-1/2 cups, stirring occasionally.
    4.To serve, cut ribs into six portions or individual ribs. Spoon sauce over ribs. Makes 6 servings.

    ingredients
    • 1
      cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
    • 1/4
      to 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2
      cup fresh mint leaves
    • 1
      cup sparkling mineral water
    • Dash ginger ale
    • 2
      to 3 cups ice
    • 1
      cup vodka
    • Frozen vodka or sparkling mineral water
    • Mint sprigs and lemon slices for garnish
      directions
      1.Chill 4 serving glasses in the freezer. Combine lemon juice, sugar, mint, mineral water, ginger ale, and ice in a blender. Slowly blend until thick.
      2.Remove the four glasses from the freezer and pour a jigger (1/4 cup) vodka into each. Top with frozen lemonade mixture.
      3.Add a straw and garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig and a slice of lemon. Makes 4 servings.
